Steve Simon
PROJECTS
Steve Simon has been passionate about the photographic life sincepicking up a camera at age 12 in Montreal. He has published three books, The Republicans, (ChartArt Books); Empty Sky-The Pilgrimage to Ground Zero (Alain Stanke-Quebecor) and Healing Waters (University of Alberta Press). He has appeared as guest lecturer/workshop leader at various arts events in Canada and The United States, and has received numerous international awards with solo shows in New York, Buenos Aires, Toronto and Montreal, His work was also shown twice at the Visa Pour L'Image Photography Festival in Perpignan, France. Recent work has been published in Walrus, Mother Jones, The New York Times Magazine, Colors, German Geo, Le Monde and Harpers.
