Jim Rankin
PROJECTS
A native of North Bay, Jim Rankin began developing his own photos at the age of 12. He has been a full-time writer-photographer at the Toronto Star since 1994. His photo of a memorial service four days after 9/11 won a Canadian National Newspaper Award citation of merit and placed second in the National Press Photographers Association’s Attack on America picture category. Jim’s writing has also been honoured, including a National Newspaper Award and the Michener Award.
